Microsoft stoped login support from Skype 6.9, (can’t login without update anymore). Any advice of what version to use now that is still able to Login or any other advice of what to do about this issue?

  We have updated VodBurner to be compatible with the latest versions of Skype. Can you please install this latest VodBurner update (currently this is version 1.1.0.205):

  You can also update your Skype version to the latest when Skype prompts you.

I’ve just got a start-up error with Vodburner that it is not compatible with the latest version of Skype (6.6) – will this be a problem?…. and what are the likely future time delays likely to be with issuing an update to be compatible with new versions of Skype?

  At the time of writing, our latest version of VodBurner is 1.1.0.199 which supports up to Skype 6.7. We recommend that you upgrade to it. You can download it at http://www.vodburner.com/download-win (the download will automatically start for you).

We would like to upgrade our single user license to a license for a couple people on our Marketing team. Can we use the fee we paid for the single user license as a credit towards the higher level license? Thank you.

I’m interested and think this may work for us. I have downloaded the free trial. It will be a few weeks before I can get approval for purchase. In the mean time I will need to use it several times to gather test information to validate the cost. How long is the Free trial for?

Having trouble with recording sound. There is a very annoying echo. I am new to this program. How can I solve this problem?

Hi Nikki,
5Gb won’t allow you to record very much at all. VodBurner won’t use the last 3Gb, to avoid disk errors which are more likely when disk space is low.
We recommend windirstat ( http://windirstat.info/ ) as a good way to see what is taking up your disk space, and to delete files you don’t need.

Hi Paul.

I was wondering about my hard disc space and the fact that I’ve only got just over 5Gb left! How long a video call would I be able to record with this ammount of space remaining?

Hi Tom,
VodBurner is geared towards video. If you want audio only, CallBurner is better in that it records directly to MP3 or WMA. VodBurner only creates ASF (WMV) at the moment, and doesn’t create this directly to keep CPU overhead to a minimum, so for audio calls you would need to use a tool like MediaCoder to convert to an audio-only MP3 or WMA file.

I notice that CallBurner and Vodburner are similar.

Looks like Vodburner is more advanced and gives me more options with the recording and editing??

Are there other differences that I don’t know about?

Can VodBurner run effectively on a system powered by IntelPentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz if only the SKYPE, VodBurner and Logitech 9000 web-cam software are running? Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Hi Ted,
To fix this, go to “Previous Calls”, then click on the call in question.
Click “Expand”, then “Open Containing Folder”. This will display the files in the conversation folder. Remove all files EXCEPT the *.vbc files.
Now close VodBurner and restart. Your call will be ready for editing.

Does Vodburner for PC allow you to post your recorded Skype videocall with the 2 callers SIDE-BY-SIDE rather than a small box inside a big box?
